owner / Principal photographer
On the surface, choosing a wedding photographer may seem pretty straightforward. Find someone whose work you love and sign the contract.
Truth is? Our photographs are only part of the story.
Come your wedding day, we’ll be spending more time together than just about any other vendor you'll have hired. From the excitement during getting ready photos to the last few moments together on the dance floor, we’ll be there through nearly all of it. That’s why it's so important that you genuinely enjoy your photographer and feel completely comfortable being yourselves around us.
Long before your wedding day arrives, we’ll have already built that relationship. We’ll connect during your consultation, your engagement session, pre-wedding planning meetings, not to mention random texts and emails along the way. Being available to our couples has always been one of the most important parts of what I do.
By the time your wedding day arrives, I don’t want it to feel like some guy is showing up with a camera. I want it to feel like a familiar face arriving to help celebrate one of the biggest days of your lives.

We just want to create beautiful photographs that will forever tell your story, all while being a welcomed addition to your wedding day.
Most of it is going to be us capturing events and moments in a photo-journalistic way as they unfold in front of us. Subtle little vignettes you may not even notice as the day passes by. Then of course, there will also be times such as your photo tour that will lean more toward us guiding and directing you through what I like to call “dynamic posing” (more on that later when we chat).
The main goal is to ensure that working with us as your photographers is never going to feel awkward or uncomfortable. It’s basically the name of the game. We’ve discovered that so long as you two are relaxed and comfortable in front of our cameras, it’ll come through in the photographs.
Now it’s only natural that sometimes people may be a touch nervous with their first time being photographed by a professional, but the moment they get to see the first few photos on the back of my camera, and how great they look, their confidence is suddenly through the roof because they realize the process is working, and it’s just fun from there on out.

You've thoroughly combed through the website, blog and Instagram feed, and you like what you see. So the next step is setting up a quick discovery call to make sure we're the perfect fit for one another.
the next step
We'll get a date and time on the calendar for a proper virtual consultation where we'll make sure your partner is included in the process. This is when we get to learn more about you two as a couple, and figure out what's truly important to you.
the next step
Now that your date is officially reserved, we'll send over a few goodies to help you prepare for the big day. We're happy to serve as a resource for vendor recommendations, timeline guidance, and more!
the next step
If you have an engagement session included in your Found Light Collection, we'll get that on the calendar as well, and help guide you in figuring out locations, as well as tips and considerations for a fantastic experience.
the next step
We check in about three months before your wedding to start chatting about timeline specifics, special details, family formal shot lists, special traditions and anything else we should know about your big day. Keep an eye out for questionnaire emails.
the next step
We'll usually send some previews within a week after your wedding. You can then expect your full gallery to be delivered within about 8-10 weeks after your wedding. Feel free to share with friends and family!
the next step
If you had an album included in your Found Light Collection, we'll setup a date and time to do your album consultation, where we'll guide you in creating the framework of your layout, as well as help select finishing options such as cover material and title options.

Music was Alain's first love, but he was always a creative person and had a passion for the arts. When he first got into photography, he was actually reluctant to shoot weddings. "I had an idea in my head that wedding photos were always cheesy, traditional and that there wasn’t a lot of creativity that went into them. But then a friend of mine got married and when I saw her photos, I realized that wedding photos didn’t have to be boring! They could be as photojournalistic and creative as any other form of photography." He also realized how much joy wedding photos bring to couples and loved the idea of being part of that. Fast forward several years and you'll find him in his 16th wedding season, honored to be able to create lasting memories for so many couples.
David has spent his entire working life behind cameras. That’s over 25 years photographing over 300 weddings, scores of families, and countless children. (Not to mention his work on annual reports and editorial and advertising campaigns). Weddings, however, bring him the most joy; after a commercial shoot, an art director and photographer will shake hands, but after a wedding, the reward comes with hugs and, often, tears. Now that’s satisfaction.
Born and raised in Chicago, David also has a special place in his heart for Jackson Hole, Wyoming; his passport is always up to date, and he shoots globally. He’s also fortunate to have a great sitter to look after his two rescue cats while he’s away! And when he’s home you can likely find him at the Court Theater, cycling throughout the city, or in his kitchen making a delicious mess.
Wedding collections begin at $1900, with most couples booking us around $4400 on average for complete photographic coverage of their wedding day.
